Opel Kapitän 1954-1957

A completely new design appeared in 1954. The old-fashioned looks had given way to the fashionable ponton shape. It still had the same 6-cylinder 2473 cc engine, although now Opel managed to squeeze 68 hp out of it, giving the car a top speed of 138 km/h.

Oldsmobile 1954-1955

According to the brochure, the 1954 models were a year ahead of their time. Numerous improvements, orignally programmed for the 1955 models, were incorporated in the '54 cars. These seem mostly to be design features (lower and longer bodywork) and a stronger chassis. The Rocket V8 now produces 177 hp.

300 SL (W198)

The 300 SL was sold as a roadster and as a coupé with the famous gull-wing doors. After numerous successes in motor racing events, the road-going SL went into production in 1954.

Ford Anglia 100E [1954-1959]

Ford Prefect 100E [1954-1959]

Mechanically the same as the 100E Anglia, including hydraulic brakes etc but 4-door saloon. Vertical bar grille sets it off from the other models.
