Opperman GB 1956-1959
The Unicar was a 2-4 seater microcar constructed from fibreglass. It had a rear-mounted 2-stroke 2-cylinder engine of just 225 cc or 328 cc.The car was also available in kit form. This miniature GT model, called the Stirling, made its debut at the 1958 London Motor Show. Engine size had grown to 424 cc. Very few were sold.

Opel Kapitän 1958-1959
The Opel Kapitän 1958-1959 P 2.5 model was even wider and lower than its predecessor. The new styling was similar to that of the new Rekord. It was built only from June 1958 to June 1959. In addition to the base model there was an "L" version. An optional overdrive cost DM 650 extra. Internally this model was known as the P-model (P for Panorama glass).

This was Rover''s first monocoque model. It acquired front disc brakes in 1960. The Mark 2 arrived in 1962. The Coupé version was introduced at the same time.

Auto Union 1000 1958-63

During 1959 Auto Union introduced a revised car, with a wrap-around windscreen.

DKW SP Coupe & Roadster


In 1958 Auto Union released the new and sporty-looking Auto Union 1000SP Coupé and Roadster. Note the fins and its resemblance to the Ford Thunderbird.
